BIONOVA supports knowledge and innovation in the field of biosciences and more specifically biotechnology, via the support to new, novel ideas in the field of biosciences and publishes the scientific magazines BIO and MedReview.
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) bundles all research-related EU initiatives together under a common roof playing a crucial role in reaching the goals of growth, competitiveness and employment.

Bio

The primary aim in funding food, agriculture and biotechnology research under FP7 is to build a European Knowledge Based Bio-Economy (food, feed, forest, fisheries, agriculture, aquaculture, chemistry, etc.)

Health

The objective of health research under FP7 is to improve the health of European citizens and boost the competitiveness of health-related industries and businesses.

BIONOVA founded in 2002, is Greece’s leading privately funded biotech consulting and publishing company, which actively supports knowledge and innovation transfer and development in the field of biosciences, in Southeastern Europe.

BIONOVA is a Member of, the National Contact Point (NCP) for Greece for the 7th European Framework Program themes “Health” & “Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology” (2007 – 2013), the organizer of International Greek Biotechnology Forum (since 2004), the publisher of two peer reviewed scientific journals (BIO – since 2002 and Med Review – since 2006) and the founder of the Hellenic Biotech Association.

It is also member of the Board of European Association for Bio-Industries (EuropaBio) and of the European Association for the Transfer of Technologies, Innovation and Industrial Information. BIONOVA has also been invited and actively participates in Thessaly Biofuels Platform and is a company member of the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB). It also hosts offices at the Business Innovation Center of Attica (BIC of Attica).
